Single Family Residential

This beautiful early 19th century farm house was renovated by renowned New England shingle-style architect William Ralph Emerson before the turn of the century, before suffering a series of less-fortunate remodeling efforts in subsequent years, including a complete re-cladding with asbestos shingles. The owners' desire to recover the scale and character of the original home has resulted in an extensive renovation that has reconstituted the Old Farm porch, added a shingle-style bay under the main gable and constructed a new family room wing utilizing the foundation of the former servants’ quarters. A complete re-cladding of the exterior and significant structural and aesthetic upgrades to interior living spaces were also undertaken.
