New England Development
New England Development’s Wisconsin Place project occupies an 8-acre city block just outside of Washington DC. This complex, mixed-use project, centered around an active retail ground plane, is stitched together by a network of public open spaces that include plazas, urban parks and through-block pedestrian walkways with public art. The phased relocation of the existing department store to the “back of the site" allowed for the creation of a viable retail shopping environment, adding to the value of the office and residential uses. This dense, 24/7 project also includes a below-grade Whole Foods which connects directly to parking, a centralized service court and a METRO station.
