Located between Interstate 95 and Route 1 in York Maine, the site for this 63 unit residential project sits next to a Hannaford Supermarket and begins to establish a mixed use component along the Route 1 commercial corridor. Drawing on the rich history of coastal Maine architecture, and navigating building height restrictions in the town, Form + Place designed a project with a massing strategy that provides a sensitive approach to scale and style. The two wings of this development are joined by a multi-level lobby that features amenities in both interior and exterior spaces. The design starts with programming and placemaking in equal amounts to connect residents to the community.
