With the arrival of Amtrak Downeaster service from Portland, the Brunswick Station TOD project builds on two previously successful phases of development that included mixed-use buildings with retail, restaurants, medical office and a train station as well as a new 60-key inn. This third phase which provides 16 residential units (2 and 3 bedroom apartment flats) continues to strengthen key synergies between the downtown and Bowdoin College. The residential component adds a 24/7 quality to the development and reinforces the “place-making” goals of this pedestrian friendly, transit oriented project.
