AECOM Tishman and the Springfield Rescue Mission

As part of MGM-Springfield’s redevelopment of the Main Street corridor in Springfield MA, the Springfield Rescue Mission was relocated to a vacant car dealership in the heart of the South End of the city. This 30,000 sf building was re-purposed into a 60 bed transitional housing and recovery facility, serving Springfield’s homeless population.  Form + Place provided full architectural services, working from programming through construction completion with Tishman Construction Corporation, to reuse the vacant facility and create a home for this critical institution.
